Janice Goodfellow began singing in choirs at the age of 14 and hasn’t stopped since. She has had the opportunity to sing with L’ Ensemble Vocal Richard Ducas, McGill Choral Society, Cantare Youth Choir, St-Lawrence Choir, Ensemble Vocal Cantivo, the MSO chorus and the Choeur Classique des Basses Laurentides.
With this varied choral experience she has worked with many different conductors such as Richard Ducas, Diane Geoffrion, Mary Jane Puiu, Iwan Edwards, Charles Dutoit, Patricia Abbott, and Robert Shaw. After singing in choirs for over 25 years, Janice decided to try being on the other side of the podium. Seeing a need for a community choir for children in her area of les Basses Laurentides, she founded the Petit Choeur de Rosemère in October 2005. She did a conducting workshop with L’Alliance des Chorales du Québec in 2006, under Guy Lavigne and Andrée Dagenais. In April 2011, Janice completed a performance degree in classical singing at UQAM under Marie-Danielle Parent.
